INDICATIONS:
Stratasorb Composite Island Dressing is a 4 layer dressing that protects, absorbs and helps keep the wound moist. Comprised of non-adherent wound contact layer, absorbent soaker, non-woven adhesive border and waterproof, bacteria-resistant backing.
- Heavy duty soaker pad handles high levels of exudate.
- Conformable, non-woven fabric gives secure adhesion, even on difficult-to-dress areas.
- Transparent film top layer keeps contaminants out, permits bathing and helps protect bed linens and clothing.
- Rectangular shape is designed for post-op applications.
- Size : 6 Inch x 6 Inch, 4 Inch x 4 Inch.
Recommended uses :
- Pressure ulcers (Stage I-IV).
- Partial and full thickness wounds.
- Shallow to deep wounds.
- No to heavy drainage.
- Primary or secondary dressing.
Features of Stratasorb Composite Island Dressing :
- Management of peripheral and central I.V. catheter sites.
- Minor abrasions and skin tears.
- To help prevent skin breakdown.
- Stage I and II pressure ulcers.
- Partial thickness wounds.
- Non-infected wounds.
- Wounds with minimal drainage.
- Wound with serosanguineous drainage.

DIRECTIONS:
Application :
- Cleanse the application site with saline or appropriate cleanser such as Skintegrity Wound Cleanser.
- Dry the surrounding area to ensure it is free of any greasy substance.
- Allow any skin prep to dry completely.
- Select the appropriate size dressing for the wound, being sure to allow at least 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 inches of attachment to healthy peri-wound skin.
- Remove one side of paper backing. Apply exposed adhesive to skin and then remove the second side of paper backing. Apply this side of the dressing, being careful not to stretch the dressing.
How To Remove :
- Carefully press down on to the skin and lift an edge of the dressing. Continue around the dressing until all edges are free.

Change the dressing as indicated by the amount of exudate or as frequently as the primary dressing indicates.
