Vicks Vaporub Ointment
- The Vicks VapoRub medicated vapors begin to work immediately to relieve your cough.
- VapoRub is applied externally, so it doesn't interact with other medication the way pills can.
- VapoRub is not likely to cause drowsiness or jittery side effects.
- Since VapoRub is a topical cough medicine, it may be an alternative for diabetics looking for an alternative to oral cough medicines that may contain sugar.

Temporarily relieves: cough, nasal congestion due to the common cold. Temporarily relieves on aching muscles: minor aches and pains..
INGREDIENTS:
Active Ingredients:
4.8% Camphor (cough suppressant & topical analgesic),2.6% Menthol (cough suppressant & topical analgesic),1.2% Eucalyptus oil (cough suppressant).
Inactive Ingredients:
Cedarleaf Oil, Nutmeg Oil, Special Petrolatum, Thymol, Turpentine Oil.
DIRECTIONS:
- Under 2 years: ask a doctor.
Adults and children 2 years and older:
- Rub a thick layer on chest & throat or rub on sore aching muscles.
- If desired, cover with a dry soft cloth but keep clothing loose.
- Repeat up to 3 times daily. See important warnings about not using near flame, in hot water, or in a microwave oven.

Improper use may cause the mixture to splatter and cause burns.
WARNINGS:
- For external use only, avoid contact with eyes.
Do not use:
- by mouth.
- with tight bandages.
- in nostrils.
- on wounds or damaged skin.
