INDICATIONS:
Maalox Maximum Strength Antacid Suspension provides fast, effective relief in two ways. An antacid neutralizes excess stomach acid and an anti-gas ingredient reduces gas pain and pressure. Treatment of moderate to severe symptoms of burning sensation in the stomach or chest area with accompanying bloating and/or gas pain. Usually occurs after a meal.
INGREDIENTS:
Active Ingredients:
Each teaspoonful (5 mL) contains 400 mg magnesium hydroxide, 400 mg aluminum hydroxide dried gel (equivalent to 306 mg aluminum hydroxide) and 40 mg simethicone.
Inactive Ingredients:
butylparaben, flavour, hydroxypropyl methylcelulose, microcrystalline cellulose, potassium citrate, propylparaben, sodium carboxymethylcellulose, sodium saccharin, sorbitol and water. Na+ content: 1.5 mg per 5 mL.
DIRECTIONS:
Shake Well Before Using
Adults: 2 to 4 teaspoonfuls, four times a day or as directed by a physician. Do not take more than 12 teaspoonfuls in a 24 hour period.
WARNINGS:
Do not take more than 12 teaspoonfuls in a 24 hour period. Do not take this product for more than two weeks, or if symptoms recur, unless directed by a physician. Do not take this product within two hours of another medication because the effectiveness of the other medication may be altered. Individuals with intestinal obstruction or kidney disease should not take this product except on the advice of a physician.
