INDICATIONS:Vicks Formula 44-D Cough Syrup New Formula relieves coughs and clears sinus congestion to restore freer breathing.Temporarily relieves these cold symptoms cough,nasal congestion.
INGREDIENTS:Active Ingredients:(In each 15 ml tablespoon):Dextromethorphan HBr 30 mg (cough suppressant), Pseudoephedrine HCl 60 mg (nasal decongestant).
Inactive Ingredients:alcohol, carboxymethylcellulose sodium, citric acid, FD&C blue no. 1, FD&C red no. 40, flavor, high fructose corn syrup, polyethylene oxide, polyoxyl 40 stearate, propylene glycol, purified water, saccharin sodium, sodium benzoate, sodium citrate.
DIRECTIONS:
- Use dose cup, teaspoon (tsp), or tablespoon (TBSP).
- Do not exceed 4 doses in a 24-hour period.
- Adults and children 12 years and over 15 ml (1 TBSP) every 6 hours.
- Children 6 to under 12 years 7 1/2 ml (1 1/2 tsp) every 6 hours.
- Children under 6 years ask a doctor.
- Each tablespoonful contains sodium 31 mg.

Store at room temperature.
WARNINGS:Do not use: If you are now taking a prescription monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) (certain drugs for depression, psychiatric or emotional conditions, or Parkinson's disease), or for 2 weeks after stopping the MAOI drug. If you do not know if your prescription drug contains an MAOI, ask a doctor or pharmacist before taking this product. Ask a doctor before use if you have: heart disease,thyroid disease,diabetes,high blood pressure,cough that occurs with too much phlegm (mucus).Cough that lasts or is chronic such as occurs with smoking, asthma, or emphysema.Trouble urinating due to enlarged prostate gland.
- When using this product do not take more than directed. Stop use and ask a doctor if:
- You get nervous, dizzy or sleepless.
- Symptoms do not get better within 7 days or are accompanied by fever.
- Cough lasts more than 7 days, comes back, or occurs with fever, rash, or headache that lasts. These could be signs of a serious condition.
- If pregnant or breast-feeding, ask a health professional before use.
